Rebecca Constantino, founder of ACCESS BOOKS holds a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy and Learning. She has published over 100 articles and several books in the areas of literacy development, equity in education, urban school and cultural perspectives of language acquisition. Having lived in worked in numerous countries, she has been involved in language and literacy development programs in Russia, South Africa and Eastern Europe.
Currently, she is an education consultant specializing in language acquisition, literacy development and cultural issues in the school arena. She is a lecturer in the graduate program at the University of California-Irvine.
While serving as a foster parent, she adopted two daughters and later hatched one son.
