You know how when you’re really messed up and you reach out to EVERY friend? You text them ALL at once in case the one person you really want to talk to isn’t responding IMMEDIATELY. And then you feel kind of dirty after because you got all frantic and spread your nuttiness around when really, you could have just connected with your one friend who tells you the truth every single time?
I think it works the same way with angels and cosmic guides.
I used to call on ALL of them. Simultaneously. Dear God, Goddess, Archangel Michael, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Metatron, Gabriel, Raphael, Saint Anthony, Mary Magdalene and Jesus Christ. (Take a deep inhale…) Buddha, Saint Germaine, and Durga. (Pause). And Kali. (How could I forget Goddess Kali?!) And Eva LeFay (she was my Yellow Lab, now in doggy heaven. A pet psychic told me that she would always be protecting me, so yep, I’d call on that dog.)
Pain and confusion can make you frantic. Unfortunately, frantic doesn’t do anything efficiently. It spills energy all over the place, it can’t see what’s right in front of it. One of the premises of spiritual growth is that we can keep our cool in chaos. Focus over frantic. Friends appreciate that kind of steadfast behaviour, and so do our spiritual guides.
You’re in a relationship with great cosmic beings. You are that cool. And they’re that beneficent. Of course these benevolent, beautiful forces want to, and will, help all who come calling.
You can get some love from whomever you turn to. But why not go for intimacy? And efficacy? Depth. Why not invest in the relationship for a greater return? And this… how about trusting — trusting in your chosen Goddess or your most resonant spiritual deity.
Trusting in the power that you are turning to them for.
It’s easier to listen to just a few voices than many.
It will take some time to find the relationship and to grow together. And like all relationships, from heavenly to earthly, respect is key and intimacy is the reward. Stay calm, turn to your few beloveds, and let them love you.
