Have you ever been stuck in a rut?

Pffff, I know I have.

It’s really easy to fall into the “Comfortable” trap.

Because let’s face it, the other “C” word can be pretty scary. That’s right: Change.

Are you living a life on autopilot because it’s comfy?

And “just enough” or “getting by” is good enough for you?

Screw that. You all deserve so much more.

And I’m not singling you out.

I literally talk to HUNDREDS of people throughout my journeys, webinars, conferences and meetings every single year about how if YOU want to change your current situation, no one is going to do it but YOU.

You’re in the driver’s seat. You got the wheel. And you can steer your life in whatever direction you want.

Oh…hang on….

What did you say?

You….can’t?

You don’t have the money?

You don’t have the time?

You’re not worth it?

You don’t have what it takes?

That is FEAR talking, not you!

I’m not free from it either, no one is.

I’m afraid too.

  • What if I get on stage and say something stupid in front of thousands of people?
  • What if I launch my webinar and no one shows up?
  • What if my client doesn’t like my advice?
  • What if I fail?

The “F” word, Fear, CAN be overcome. We all have that nasty inner critic and we have the power to shut it down.

It takes courage to put yourself out there, which you have!

So start dreaming big. Start leaning in to change.

Stop settling for less.

Whatever it is you want to do in your life…

Start a business.

Create an online course.

Begin a health coaching practice.

Spend more time with your fam.

Take that vay-cay to Peru. By yourself.

Just friggin do it.

No one’s judging you. I promise. I bet they are actually rooting you on, to be honest.

I say it ALL the time…if you don’t change something, nothing is going to change.

I hear so many of you say YES to making a shift in you life but then…nothing happens.

Let’s change that.

1. Excuses, Excuses, Excuses…stop making them

We rationalize our decisions and situations all the damn time.

We rationalize why we chickened out on going to that event.

Why we didn’t make that new friend date.

Why we didn’t have time to take that online course.

But making excuses to rationalize our behavour is toxic.

And it’s holding you back.

So it’s time to start making commitments instead of excuses.

Hold yourself accountable.

When you say you’re going to do something, DO IT.

It helps to write down your goals. What do you want to accomplish?

How are you going to get there?

Figure out the steps, come up with a game plan and start making commitments that will help you reach your goals.

It helps to have a friend or partner hold you accountable as well.

Let them know when you’ve signed up for something, or if you have a meeting with someone new.

Sometimes it just takes a gentle push by someone in your corner.

2. Conquering your fears

Life can be scary.

The decisions we make can affect the path ahead of us and what if we make the wrong one?

Ah!

The first step in getting fear to take a hike is to see the fear through.

What’s the worst thing that can happen? Now what if the worse thing actually happened…is it REALLY that bad?

Probably not.

There are lessons in everything.

And sometimes when life hits us hard, and it seems like there’s no hope….it could be the turning point that you look back on in a month or a year and realize it was actually the BEST thing that could’ve ever happened to you.

We are never put through anything we can’t handle.

Our hardest moments, at the time,” are often our biggest gifts.

Plus, we often blow things up in our minds. But when we calmly and logically look at our situation, write down our fears and realize what would happen if they came true…we can free ourselves from the fear prison.

It’s never as bad as you think.

3. Hack Your Ability to Get MOTIVATED

It’s easy to NOT do something. Like not going to the gym. Doing your taxes. Going that dinner party.

But it’s the fastest way to stay in your comfort zone and not change your life.

It’s time to get motivated.

And you can only do that if you’re well fueled.

You may not want to go to the gym, but getting your blood pumping and your body moving will do wonders for your mental game.

Eating healthy is also critical.

If your body isn’t getting what it needs, you’re going to feel fatigued, lazy and unmotivated.

It’s time to throw out your processed snackies, and start eating fresh greens, fruits and vegetables. Limit your caffeine and alcohol intake. Take care of you boo.

You are the only person in the entire world who has the power to change your life.

Stop making excuses. Stop being ruled by fear. And start getting motivated.

You have the power to manifest your greatest life. It all comes down to your beliefs and what you tell yourself every day. @hayleyhobson (Click to Tweet!)
