I appeared on Richard Branson’s blog, Forbes, Virgin and Entrepreneur.
I spoke about blogging at prestigious NYU.
After this month I can say I have circled the globe for 10 years as a professional blogger.
But many years ago I felt uncomfortable sharing these spectacular wins.
Underdog syndrome plagued me.
Versus focusing on my wins, my stunning success and my dream life I focused on my faults. No achievement seemed good enough to me because I always had some imagined obstacle to tackle or hurdle to overcome.
I suffered from underdog syndrome.
What Is Underdog Syndrome?
Imagine seeing yourself as an underdog or long shot. People count you out. But you still win.
Even if you succeed you never feel deserving of success. Even if you live your dreams you still need to overcome something, because you play the role of fighter, not thriver.
I energetically crapped on myself through humorous self-deprecation and other tactics to underscore my underdog self image. Growing up in a middle class family from New Jersey, I saw myself as a fighter who had to beat the odds.
My struggles persisted because you cannot reach the top of your field if you always visualize yourself slumming at the bottom of your field. Plus even if I saw eye-popping success I rarely owned it; I had another mountain to climb, another struggle to endure and another fight to join, because this is what underdogs do.
Leave this Malady Behind and Own Your Greatness
I now clearly see and say that I am one of the top bloggers on earth.
No blogging tips blogger melds mindset, energy, practical tips and entertainment like me.
My life reads like a movie; having spent months in exotic locations like Fiji, Bali, Costa Rica, New Zealand and Thailand, I exude success and should have a Netflix series detailing my inspired life.
I left underdog syndrome behind to be:
- happy
- successful
- of greater service to humanity; I would never have energetically aligned with Positively Positive if I viewed myself as an underdog
- a bright light in the world
- more prospering
Let go of the underdog role.
Step into your greatness.
Visualize Your Stunning Success
See your most cherished dreams unfolding in mind.
Paint this vivid picture in detail.
Chill out, relax, and listen for instructions.
I changed my mental picture of self from underdog to top blogger on earth. As within, so without. Your physical experience begins in mind.
After visualizing my dreams I simply acted on ideas entering my mind from a relaxed, chill, detached energy. I did things like reach out to Positively Positive to become a contributor with a calm, knowing, carefree vibe.
Since I see myself more like Mark Cuban and Seth Godin – and not like a fighting underdog – I landed a contributor gig along with these world famous icons.
Picture your dreams. The underdog vanishes. The icon begins to appear.
Give Your Attention and Energy Only to Positive Ideas
I spend 100% of my day feeding my mind positive ideas.
Underdogs see struggle and fight.
Happy winners see positive ideas and success.
Feed on positive resources. Follow only high energy, loving, inspired human beings.
Give zero attention and energy to anything or anyone else.
Release any inherently negative, fear-filled person. Remember; where your energy goes, grows.
Let go all overachieving, hard working, underdog types. Stop emulating struggle.
Surround yourself only with the top folks on earth in your niche or area of interest.
Top bloggers taught me how to handle myself like a prospering, calm, confident winner.
Icons like Tony Robbins taught me to focus on positive ideas like expressing gratitude and seeing wins in my life.
World famous, successful, happy, dream-living folks show you; there is nothing more to overcome, just experiences to glide through.
Follow the Effective and Easy Way
Seven years ago, I published 30 posts daily.
Of course I struggled; underdogs create an obstacle out of life by taking the difficult, ineffective way.
Now I take the easy, effective approach of writing and publishing SEO optimized posts. Not only have my blog traffic and profits increased substantially, I also enjoy sipping mango shakes in a hammock here in Thailand while passive, targeted, buying traffic finds my blog through Google 24-7, 365.
Beware; taking the easy, effective approach may feel uncomfortable to a current or former underdog at first. Be with the discomfort, release it and succeed with greater ease.
Calmly and peacefully allow this idea to become fixed in your mind: how can I get 10 times the results in 1/10 the time? Dissolve your underdog syndrome and replace with happy, relaxed, prospering success.
Celebrate All Wins
I Googled “blogging” today.
Blogging From Paradise appeared as the #7 semantic search term.
Iconic moment for me. I count it as a win.
I also count my audio book royalty payment in my inbox as a win, as well as two interviews I completed recently.
All day long I am winning because everything is a win in the mind of a success conscious, dream-focused, prospering, positive person.
Count everything in your life as a win because everything happens at the perfect place and perfect time. Feel good. See your success. No more fighting or overcoming or overachieving as underdogs do; you are winning every hour of every day.
