“Life throws challenges and every challenge comes with rainbows and lights to conquer it.” ~Amit Ray
Darkness is not bad. Let’s start with that. As a therapist and a soul coach, I have the honor and privilege to hold sacred space for my clients. In that space, we dive to the darkness, to their cores, to their souls. I hold space for their wounds, their trauma, their fears, their dreams, their story. I sit and witness them reveal their truth. Their truth lives in the depth of their soul, and depth is dark. They unpack their stories and I help them to connect the dots. It’s a sacred kind of darkness.
Put it like this … We are born in the womb of our mother. The womb is dark. The womb is where we develop, we are fed, where we GROW. A seed, just the same, is planted in the ground. The seed grows in the darkness of the earth. We too, grow in the darkness. We get internal. It is there where we have an invitation to be still. It is there we peel off the veil of Maya, of illusion, and shi* get’s real. Let the darkness grow you.
When we sit in that place of stillness and deep soul darkness, we uncover our truth. We uncover how we really feel.
We discover our nature. We discover what our soul is whispering for us to do… who to let go of, where to travel to, what to pursue with our dreams and how to be our best, happiest selves.
Nature teaches us about our nature. Like the embryo growing in the womb of our mothers to become a baby. Like seed, growing in the darkness of the earth to turn into a plant.
We grow in the dark moments of life, to become wiser and stronger. @CosmicChristine

The first step to bringing light to the dark is to appreciate it. To grow through it. To see what gem is laying there, awaiting you to discover her. What lesson is the darkness giving you? If you are going through a dark time, there is growth there waiting for you. The baby emerges from the womb and sees the light. The plant emerges from the earth to the sun. You too will rise from the darkness into the light.
The second step is perhaps to sit with what you are feeling. Just sit in it. And ask yourself kindly and with so much self-love and compassion. “What am I learning from this?” “What is my positive take away?” “How am I getting stronger and wiser through this?” Allow your gut knowledge to tell you. Lean into the stillness, and hear the voice of your soul and intuition.
There is always light and dark. All is a season and no matter what season you are in; It is all sacred.
All seasons hold lessons. All seasons are part of the divine flow of life. How can you take advantage of this season? You, like the seed, are planted in the sacred darkness of the earth. Mother Earth is there supporting you. And when you are ready, you will emerge and the sun will be there. The sun is always there, even when you can’t see her. You are safe. You are loved, and light is always always around you, never forget it. And if you do, forgive yourself and come back to that truth.
What are you currently going through? Do you feel you are in a dark time? What is the positive insight that you can take away from this darkness? I want to hear from you! Share in the comments before. And as always if you are feeling depressed kind of darkness or sad, know that there is nothing more courageous than asking for help. Reach out to a trained therapist to help support your journey!
Sending light to you all!
xx
