One of my favourite people in the whole wide world just gifted me with his responses to my Ask A Friend Survey. I didn’t ask him to do the survey. It was just his way of saying:

I love and I see you. @DanielleLaPorte (Click to Tweet!)

And it inspired me to send it to some friends as my own gift of, “Hey Honey! I’m here thinking about you and I think you’re AMAZING.”

Some of my clients used to send round the survey before their sessions with me, and it never ceased to amaze me how grateful people were for the experience of being seen and heard by someone who loves them. Try it.

The Ask A Friend Survey lives here. Ga’head. Send it.

I DIDN’T ASK, BUT THIS IS THE GIFT OF ANSWERS THAT I RECEIVED {it feels a bit narcissistic to share these, but it’s good inspiration to spread the loving feedback to your own friends}

: What do you think is my greatest strength?
Allowing the truest form of yourself to be your guide and your strong will. It’s a tie.

: How would you describe my style?

Rockstar goddess with a swanky exotic backbone. {Muah! I shall aspire to my own standards…need some more tattoos.}

: What do you think I should let go of?
Stop buying jeans from The Gap. There are so many great jeans out there! $200 handmade in Italy that last for years wearing them everyday. What’s better than that? {Okay, I get it, it’s time to head to Earnest Sewn and get my ass in THE pair of jeans that my ass has been waiting for. I get it, I get it.}

: When do you feel that I am at my best?

Definitely when you are giving advice on any scale, and when you have center stage. {The center stage thing has taken me years to admit. But push over, I need to rock the mic.}

: What do you wish I were less of, for my sake?
Critical of yourself. I think you should give yourself a lot more credit everyday. {Really? I’m very caught up in getting where I want to go. Oh wait…I’ve come so far and here I am. Check. Will celebrate accomplishments more.}

: When have you seen me looking my most fabulous?
You look great every time I see you, but in particular {you’re only saying that because I’m getting weirded out by turning forty,} I really do love the Frye sandals with chocolate or smokey mauve tights paired with your ponchos or heavy ethnic wraps. Seriously hot.

: What do you think I could give myself more credit for or celebrate more?
I think you should recognize how many answers you have to your own questions, and how easily they come to you. {I think you’re right.} You are always on task, following YOUR answer. That’s amazing! And I think you should flaunt more often how great of a mommy you are. Harper stands alone compared to other kids, there’s a reason for that. {Okay, now that one made me cry. I should do this survey thing more often…}
