My heart has a long list of things of things that I would like someone else to revolutionize. Like healthcare. Everyone should have it, free; we should focus on prevention not reaction; and we should treat the cause, not the symptoms; emotions should be part of the healing model; I could go on, except, I think to myself, I’m not a healthcare revolutionary.

I’m thrilled by the revolution stirring in how we produce, sell, and consume food. But, I say to myself, I’m not a food revolutionary.

I ache to see a revolution in how the western world approaches child birth. But I’m not a child birth revolutionary. I’m not a parenting revolutionary. Or an education revolutionary.

These are the things I say to myself when I look at the mountain of change in front of us. I’m aware that this is a lame response to my deepest impulses for growth, so I, uh, dig a little deeper. What is it that I want to lead the charge on?

I want to revolutionize how we approach life. But a Revolutionary of Consciousness? Tall order. Road’s been plowed. Long way to go. Still limping toward the mountain.

And than this occurs to me: I want to LIVE a revolutionary life.

I want the speck of my planetary me-ness to be fully charged. Me, leading…me. That’s the only dominion I truly have. And it’s enormous.

Bleed. Heal. Shout. Pray.
Just keep going.
YOU and that life of yours are the revolution.

What do you want to revolutionize?
