Happy New Year! As we settle into the first few days of 2014, I hope you find yourself feeling rested, rejuvenated, and ready to create your best year yet.

Hopefully by now you have completed your list of what you plan to leave behind in 2013 from last week’s blog.

To recap:

The first list in the exercise was to identify the experiences, feelings, and relationships of 2013 that no longer serve your greatest good. (Which is why we intend to leave them in the past.) Next, you were to look objectively at your “Leave It in Last Year” list and find the lessons or gems, as I like to call them, from any bad situation or experience. The wisdom you gain will help you navigate 2014 and beyond while sparing you from repeating the negative experience. Lastly, we focused on creation—listing what you want to experience and how you want to feel in all areas of your life throughout the next 365 days.

Creating a mental and feeling image of your desires can empower and liberate you. You are in charge.

Making conscious choices becomes the foundation for your creation.

Even small changes and slightly different choices can lead to massive growth. When it comes to manifesting a life you love, consistency and being mindful are your winning formula. Celebrating even seemingly small milestones will keep you moving in the right direction. Notice the pride you feel when you choose new behaviors over old patterns that kept you from happiness. Notice the joy you feel when you opt out of toxic situations that do not serve you or draw healthy boundaries. By celebrating all of your victories, you focus your attention on what is right, which builds self-confidence and gives you credit for your hard work.

And although deciding to make changes can kick up fear and discomfort, I ask you to consider this question: If you don’t make changes, how will next year be better than last?

I know you can.

I am cheering you on.

Let’s support each other in making 2014 the Best Year Yet!

Please share below what you’re creating and what challenges you may be facing.

This week, I hope you choose to create, and, as always, take care of you.
